Bedrooms

The main house provides four spacious bedroom suites with the following features:

  • Generous dimensions
  • Ensuite bathrooms
  • Pella casement windows on at least two walls to bring in lots of natural light. Placing windows in the corners of the rooms floods the adjacent wall with light and maximizes the visual dimensions of the room.
  • Vertical Grain Douglas Fir window trim in the Prairie style with custom cut crown and three coats of Helmsman Spar Varnish.
  • Simpson Shaker 760 doors in Vertical Grain Douglas Fir with four coats of Helmsman Spar Varnish.
  • Soft dimmable ambient lighting from low voltage Xenon cove lighting in the master bedrooms and Justice Designs Sliver (4200) or Slice (4205) wall sconces in the other bedrooms.
  • Accent lighting for wall hangings with Elco 4" 12V recessed Halogen lights with adjustable trim.
  • HDMI cabling or dual Cat 6 cables for HDTV video distribution.
  • Speakers in the walls and ceiling for 5.1 surround sound with one wall plate for connecting all the speaker wires and a second wall plate in a corner for the subwoofer.
  • The master bedrooms have their own zones in the whole house audio system.
  • One or more low voltage plates for Cat 6 network, video, and telephone access.
  • The master bedrooms have custom solid wood closet systems, as well as paired full-length wall and door-mounted mirrors to make it easy to check your whole outfit in one glance.
  • Scandian Platinum hardwood flooring in Amendoim (aka Brazilian Oak). This 3/4" engineered floor is warranted over radiant heat installations, has a 25 year finish warranty, and provides a 5 mm wear layer--the thickest in the industry.

Main Floor Master Bedroom (#1)

In its own wing off the family room and preceded by an art niche, this lovely and spacious retreat has a private deck with custom curved copper and redwood railing, coffered ceiling with soft cove lighting, large windows overlooking the oak trees and lawn, and dual-entrance customized wood closet for ample wardrobe storage.

Upstairs Master Bedroom (#4)

This multi-room suite begins with a sitting room that connects to an intimate reading area overlooking the western hills and then continues into the bedroom where a fireplace is outlined in Crema Marfil marble and surrounded with reclaimed Douglas fir for the mantelpiece; a coffered ceiling provides soft cove lighting; a full wall of windows overlooks the rear grounds and nearby hills; a customized walk-in closet with two entrances provides ample wardrobe storage.
